Winter’s Farewell: Rainy April and the Promise of May

As April drizzles in, winter slowly loosens its grip, but not without a final rain-soaked bow. For me—an artist navigating the world with a disability—the weather is more than just scenery. Rain means moving quickly or finding transport to carry my gear, while my surroundings in the Northwest are a far cry from my old New York days. Yet, beneath April’s chill, I feel the shift. May’s coming warmth and blooming flowers are not just seasonal—they’re a reminder that every shift, like my journey, brings new light.
